Sketching to Music
Using music as an inspiration I created drawings in pastel for a number of compositions by Paul C Duncan.

Among the Rosebay Willowherb
There were lots of bees today buzzing about a huge stand of Rosebay Willowherb or Fireweed by the River Lossie. I also came across loads of these Six-spot Burnet Moths, some engaged in some serious mating. They weren’t bothered by me pointing a camera at them or sitting sketching away. It’s been so damp and grey recently that the bright colours of these moths on the equally bright pink Willowherbs really cheered up the gloom.

Gorillas
Here’s a linocut from my art school days. Survival for the Mountain Gorilla is as precarious now as it was then.

My Feet
The warm sunshine of April 30 led to me wearing shorts for the first time this year. I decided to begin my blog with this drawing of my feet.
