Old artwork revisited as soul mates
I painted this jazzy Ella Fitzgerald image in 1986 for A&L. I was so touched that they brought it along to show me when we got reunited again in October 2010. It was lovely to see Ella again at A&L’s home at New Year.

Here’s my first drawing of 2011 - a pen and charcoal sketch of the home of our New Year hosts and old friends A&L in Carnoustie. Sitting outside on New Year’s Day to sketch this was a chilly drawing session, but worth the effort I think.
